Donations make things happen, whether it is buying a new piece of equipment, a group activity or a new project; they make a huge difference in the lives and experiences of the people we support.

Legacy and In Memoriam Giving
For those of you considering leaving a gift to BRIB in your Will, we appreciate you will want to ensure those you care about are looked after first. If the time is right for you to remember us in your Will, your gift will enable BRIB to support future generations of people, building their confidence, independence and personal achievements.
A gift of any size can make a difference; whether in the shape and size of a new building or buying a new piece of equipment or set of resources to enhance provision and create new opportunities.
How to include a gift in your Will
You can remember BRIB in your Will by leaving some or all of your residuary estate (your estate after taxes have been paid and other gifts have been made) to us or by leaving a gift of a specific sum of money or item of property. You should seek advice from a solicitor about leaving a gift in your Will.
The details of your Will are of course a private matter and it is entirely up to you if you wish to share the contents of it during your lifetime. If you would like to let us know your intentions we would love to hear from you, as this gives us the opportunity to thank you, and invite you to see how your gift could be used.
It is also possible to leave a request that instead of funeral flowers, people leave an In Memoriam gift to BRIB, which is something funeral directors can help with.
Our Legacy Promise
Leaving a gift in a Will is an important decision to make. Your generosity means a lot to us and in return we promise that;
- We appreciate that your loved ones come first in your thoughts and you will want to take care of them.
- You can tell us that you have left a gift in your Will if you want to – but if not we respect your privacy and will not keep asking.
- We will not put you under pressure; we understand it is your decision to make, in your own time, when the time is right for you.
- We will use your gift carefully and effectively to generate the greatest impact and benefit for people with vision impairment.
- If you want your gift to be used in a particular way we will do our best to work with you and your loved ones to make this happen.

- We will respect your wishes regarding communication and acknowledgement around your gift.
Events
BRIB hosts a few events periodically, but should you wish to organise your own event to support us, for example a coffee morning, that would be fantastic. Depending on the event, there may be ways we can support you, so please get in touch.
